Description
Sakon stands as the sole survivor of Hyuga village, annihilated by Oda Nobunaga's demonic forces. He carries the sacred katana—one of three prophesied Demon Blades destined to overthrow Nobunaga. After his village's ruin, Sakon commanded bandits who preyed on travelers until encountering Ayanosuke (Ayame); her crusade against Nobunaga prompted him to abandon that life.

Initially skeptical of the Demon Blades' prophecy, Sakon rejects destiny and questions sacrificing lives for a foretold fate. This doubt drives him to desert Ayame and Ryoma mid-quest, retreating into hermitage due to inner conflict over the prophecy's validity and his refusal to die for uncertainty.

Beneath a calm exterior, Sakon wrestles with turbulent emotions. He maintains a grim outlook against Nobunaga's might, trusts slowly, and relies solely on his own judgment. His combat style—swift and precise—earned him the epithet "Sakon the Whirlwind."

Throughout their journey, Sakon forges a profound bond with Ayame. He learns her true name after she adopted the male identity "Ayanosuke" following her village's destruction, a moment cementing their connection where he urges her survival. His feelings culminate at Azuchi Castle's final battle: he intercepts a fatal blow meant for Ayame. Dying, he struggles to voice unspoken emotions but cannot summon the words.

Sakon perishes confronting Nobunaga and Ranmaru. His sacrifice allows Ayame and Ryoma to continue the fight, ultimately fulfilling the prophecy he once doubted.
