Noguchi actively teaches Rei and fellow members like Oota-kun scientific experiments, such as crafting ramune candy from baking soda, glucose, and citric acid, blending these activities with shogi discussions. He coordinates club operations and recruitment efforts with the advisor, Takashi Hayashida. Following Rei Kiriyama's Newcomer Tournament victory, Noguchi joins the third-year celebrations. He later retires from the club after summer break to concentrate on university entrance exams, leaving Rei and Hayashida to recruit new members for the club's future.
