He fights as a member of Team Trinity Dragon alongside his teammates Tsuneto Tado and Kei Nagara. The team’s name has an unusual origin, stemming from a rival, Kyou Yahagi, who derisively called them third-rate dregs. Karl reframed this insult by replacing the word three with Trinity, which solidified the team’s collective resolve and identity.

In battle, Karl uses a Dimension Police deck with a strong focus on the Enigman clan of units. His strategic approach to cardfights prioritizes empowering his vanguard to high levels of strength.
