Movie
Description
Giroro holds the rank of corporal in his platoon, specializing in combat and weapons. His appearance is marked by red Keronian skin, a prominent scar over his left eye, and dark maroon headgear displaying a yellow skull symbol. A diagonal belt crosses his torso instead of a belly symbol, concealing a cherished photo of Natsumi Hinata. This belt is a vital family heirloom from his grandfather; losing it drastically reduces his combat effectiveness. As a child, he lacked the facial scar and bore the skull symbol on both his hat and belly.

Intensively trained for military service from youth, Giroro often rescued friends Keroro and Zeroro from Keroro's dangerous recklessness. He openly idolized his older brother Garuru, affectionately calling him "Nii-chan." This relationship changed after military service, where Giroro adopted a war-focused outlook and developed a rivalry with Garuru, though underlying respect and occasional intimidation persisted. The scar on his face resulted from an undisclosed childhood conflict with Keroro, contradicting earlier stories of a tiger horse encounter.

Upon arriving on Earth, Giroro gathered intelligence on the Hinata family before confronting Keroro. He infiltrated their home by exploding through their television and rigged the house with traps. Natsumi Hinata effortlessly evaded every trap, impressing Giroro with her combat skill. This encounter led him to spare the family and set up residence in a tent in their backyard. There, he rescued a pale pink cat during a rainstorm, who became his companion. The cat, named Neko-chan or Miss Furbottom, developed unrequited romantic feelings for him.

His personality centers on being a soldier, prioritizing duty and expressing frustration at his platoon's lack of invasion progress. He possesses a short temper, especially toward incompetence or perceived threats to Natsumi. His affection for her manifests as protectiveness, jealousy toward rival Mutsumi Saburo, and uncharacteristic clumsiness in her presence—a vulnerability others exploit. He harbors phobias of ghosts and sea cucumbers, cannot tolerate alcohol, and enjoys roasting sweet potatoes. Extreme anger can trigger a "combat mode," redirecting cognitive function solely toward battle and simplifying his speech. An accident with Kururu's invention split him into seven distinct personalities: standard Giroro, American soldier Giroppe, cowardly Girorin, housewife Girocchi, splendid laugh Giro-sama, master postcard writer Girokko, and lives-for-love Giropon.

A guerrilla combatant, Giroro demonstrates advanced marksmanship and close-combat skills rivaling Dororo. His arsenal features weaponry resembling Gundam RX-78 mobile suits, deployable mechas, and signature Giroro Guided Missiles. Keronian technology allows instantaneous weapon summoning. He rapidly dismantles firearms using tactical expertise.

Official media shows Giroro undergoing numerous physical transformations. These include cross-dressing as Juliet opposite Natsumi's Romeo, liquefaction due to Giruru, and assuming a puppy form via Kururu's invention. In Episode 196, he used Kururu's "We Can Make Everyone Alive" gun to adopt a tall, well-built, blonde-haired human form to attend a formal event with Natsumi. Movie 4 depicts his capture by Shion transforming him into a red dragon equipped with cannons and missiles. Collaborations like Kemono Friends altered his form twice: first into a "cool beauty" female human with gender-neutral speech, and later into a darker-skinned variant using masculine speech around Natsumi but shifting to feminine patterns when excited or embarrassed.

His relationships feature persistent tension with Keroro over leadership failures, though he respects the chain of command. His dynamic with Garuru alternates between rivalry and intimidation, occasionally reverting to childhood honorifics. A bond endures with Dororo, rooted in mutual childhood experiences protecting each other from Keroro. He views Koyuki Azumaya as a romantic rival for Natsumi's affection and distrusts Kururu, who frequently uses him as a test subject. He shares mutual respect during competitions with the human soldier Paul.

Throughout all media, Giroro balances military objectives with personal connections, particularly his protective stance toward the Hinata family during legitimate threats. His character evolves from a rigid soldier to one acknowledging complexities beyond warfare, while his core dedication to duty and affection for Natsumi remain consistent.
