Description
Sousuke Wakamizu debuted in *Cardfight!! Vanguard G: Stride Gate* as part of Ryuzu Myoujin's defense force "Company". Following Company's dissolution, he joined Christopher Lo, working alongside Kensuke Handa. During this time, he became "Diffridden" by Darkface, an event driving him to destroy Christopher's lab and steal research for the Apostles. He later returned in *Cardfight!! Vanguard G: Z*.

His *Stride Gate* appearance featured purple hair in a long ponytail with one strand over his face, light green eye shadow, and black beady eyes. He wore a long black and grey coat covering most of his body, black shoes, and a visible Megacolony emblem. By *G: Z*, his design evolved: his hair became straight with four bangs arranged as two sets of fangs, adding a black mouth mask and gold choker. His outfit shifted to a black jacket with grey trim and underside, a red shirt, white pants with a black belt, and matching shoes; the Megacolony emblem was now covered by teal blue gloves, though he retained the eye shadow.

Personality-wise, Sousuke displays a flamboyant demeanor, frequently speaking in the third person while declaring himself "perfect" or incapable of error. He exhibits obsessive control tendencies, particularly relishing Megacolony's unit-locking effects during cardfights, leading to visible panic when situations deviate. A minor, consistent trait is his habit of adding excessive sugar or sweeteners to drinks.

He wields a Megacolony deck anchored by **Intimidating Mutant, Darkface**, supported by units like **Mutant Deity, Darkface** and **Giant Mutant, Darkface**. His G Units are **Fierce Mutant Deity, Darkface Abyss** and **Devastation Mutant Deity, Darkface Evo**. Trigger units include four **Bad Drip** (Critical Triggers), one **Scissor-shot Mutant, Bombscissor** (Critical), one **Shelter Beetle** (Critical), one **Ingot Chafer** (Draw), and four **Cocoon Healer** (Heal Triggers).

His Season 7 battle record includes an undetermined outcome against Kamui Katsuragi (Episode 27), victories over Karl Yamaji (Episode 40) and Tsuneto Tado (Episode 40), and losses to Kei Nagara (Episode 40) and Shouma Shinonome (Episode 42).

His Diffridden form under Darkface's influence bears a noted resemblance to the character design style of Tony Taka, the artist for **Ultimate Regalia of Almighty, Minerva**, the unit used to defeat him.
