Description
Yayoi Takatsuki is a 14-year-old idol working with 765 Production. She stands 145 cm tall, weighs 37 kg, has bright orange hair, cyan eyes, and prominently wears a distinctive frog-shaped wallet named Berochoro around her neck. Her family lives in Saitama and faces severe financial hardship stemming from her father's unstable employment. As the eldest of five siblings, she shoulders substantial household duties, including cooking, laundry, and caring for her younger brothers and sisters, with special attention to her sister Kasumi. This responsibility has honed her skills in selecting fresh ingredients and preparing economical meals.

Yayoi bursts with extreme enthusiasm and optimism, frequently expressing herself in loud, energetic outbursts. This exuberance sometimes results in her being hushed or disciplined, particularly in school settings where her academic performance lags. Profoundly shaped by her family's financial struggles, she is deeply frugal and financially conscious, occasionally borrowing money from the Producer. Even minor financial losses, like misplacing a 10-yen coin, can plunge her into prolonged depressive states where she remains bedridden.

Her motivation to become an idol is strongly tied to her desire to support her family financially. She supplements her income by undertaking cleaning and odd jobs at the 765 Production office, displaying a solid work ethic despite initially lacking polished singing or dancing abilities. She openly recognizes these limitations but dedicates herself to rigorous practice.

In *PUCHIM@S*, her Puchidol counterpart Yayo embodies several of her traits. Discovered by Takane Shijou in Episode 20: "Birds of a Feather Flock Together" after being drawn by the sound of a dropped 10-yen coin – reflecting Yayoi's financial sensitivity – Yayo exhibits unique abilities. She sprints rapidly toward locations where coins are dropped and undergoes seasonal physical changes: her hair puffs out in cold weather, and bamboo shoots grow from her head in spring. Yayo also displays a strong fondness for bread.

Key episodes highlight her interactions and adventures. In Episode 10: "A Deserted Island for Some Reason," she inadvertently strands herself and Iori Minase on a deserted island, revealing her impulsive yet determined nature. Her relationship with Iori is significant; despite the stark contrast in their economic backgrounds – Yayoi's family struggles while Iori is wealthy – they maintain a close friendship, and Yayoi is one of the few people Iori treats kindly.

Her portrayal across media consistently emphasizes her deep familial devotion, resilience in the face of economic adversity, and her growth as an idol committed to spreading energy and joy through her performances.
