Description
Chihaya Kisaragi operates as a primary antagonist within the narrative, initially aligned with the anti-Mondenkind organization Turiavita. She pilots the Prometheus-3 Nubilum mecha, maintaining a reserved, morally upright disposition characterized by polite speech and graceful conduct, though her true motivations elude others. Her past places her within Mondenkind alongside her older sister Azusa Miura. Orphaned, both sisters endured experimental procedures to become human-iDOL hybrids, halting their physical aging. Chronologically 48 years old, Chihaya persists with the appearance of a 17-year-old.

At Mondenkind, she formed an intense bond with the mecha Imber as its first pilot, evolving into an obsession bordering on spiritual or romantic yearning for fusion with the machine. The "Dawn of the Purple Moon" incident 16 years earlier severed her from Mondenkind and Imber, igniting her protracted campaign to reclaim it. This goal fuels her antagonism, particularly toward Haruka Amami, Imber's current pilot whom she deems unworthy and immature.

Her alliances intertwine loyalty and strategy. She exhibits unwavering—if manipulative—devotion to Turiavita's figurehead "Mama," yet routinely prioritizes personal objectives over organizational aims. She sustains a covert pact with Yukiho Hagiwara, her informant within Mondenkind. Her collaboration with the AI R.I.F.F.A. remains functional but detached, marked by indifference toward its chatter during joint missions.

Her arc spirals into monomaniacal fixation, culminating in yandere-esque behavior during a forced attempt to merge with Imber. This act triggers catastrophe, elevating Turiavita's island base into a floating continent. Her journey concludes sacrificially: piloting Nubilum, she intercepts an assault from the orbital weapon Vulturius to shield Yukiho and Haruka, resulting in her death.

Supplementary media—including manga adaptations and light novels like *Xenoglossia ~Bond~* and *Iori Sunshine!+*—retain her antagonistic role and strained history with Azusa, while exploring alternate scenarios diverging from the anime's plot.
