Rekka Tatsunagi, the youngest of the three Tatsunagi sisters alongside Kourin and Suiko, performs as a member of the pop idol group Team Ultra-Rare. She helps run the family's card shop, PSY, greeting customers with characteristic enthusiasm. Her surname combines the characters for "standing" (立) and "calm, lull" (凪). Rekka displays a notably bubbly and straightforward personality compared to her sisters, openly acknowledging shifts in circumstance, such as informing Misaki Tokura the competitive landscape had changed after a tournament. She exhibits pride in her cardfighting skills, employing distinctive verbal tics like "Super Cute Ride" or "Love Love Ride" during matches, a trait influencing characters like Mai Tobita and Emi Sendou. Despite her confidence, she accepts defeat graciously when opponents demonstrate superior strength. Debuting in the original anime's Season 2 (Asia Circuit) Episode 69, Rekka battled Misaki Tokura using an Angel Feather deck. This deck specialized in damage-swap tactics to retrieve cards from the damage zone and heal skills recovering damage beyond standard triggers. It centered on units like Circular Saw, Kiriel and Crimson Impact, Metatron, utilizing grade-based superior ride mechanics and soul-building for Kiriel's boost skills. She later competed in the VF Circuit, losing a rematch to Misaki. In Season 3 (Link Joker), Rekka enrolled at Fukuhara Middle School, initially struggling to fit in due to her idol status. Emi Sendou and Mai Tobita invited her to form a Cardfight Club, forging a close friendship. Rekka was later reversed by the Link Joker entity in Episode 142, kidnapping Emi and Mai as bait against Kamui Katsuragi and Aichi Sendou. In her reversed state, she dismissed friendships and turned cardfighters into obsessive followers, though Kamui deduced her actions stemmed from a desire to protect Emi and Mai from corruption. Kamui defeated her, restoring her to normal and reaffirming her bonds. Within the V Series reboot, Rekka served as a tertiary antagonist. Enrolled at Fukuhara High to spy on powerful cardfighters, she was coerced into becoming a "PSYqualia Zombie," transforming characters like Kyou Yahagi and Shingo Komoi similarly. After losing to Ren Suzugamori, she manipulated both him and Tetsu Shinjou, feigning cooperation while delaying their arrival at the Tatsunagi Foundation. As a "Called Walker," her existence was ultimately erased from others' memories. The spin-off Cardfight!! Vanguard Gaiden: If featured Rekka in a non-playable support role. During the final conflict against Aichi Sendou, she participated in a "Superior Realize" fusion, merging with the unit White Lily Musketeer, Cecilia to aid the protagonists.
