TV-Series
Description
Mirai Momoyama is the series' main protagonist, starting as a Kirarigaoka Middle School first-year and advancing to third-year by season 3 before entering high school in episode 153. She resides above her family's Patisserie la péche bakery with her parents and younger sister Hikari, whose frequent teasing occurs within their warm, supportive home environment that fosters Mirai's cheerful nature.
Physically, she stands 150 cm tall with peach-pink hair styled in a ponytail featuring curled ends, shoulder-length forelocks, and three-section bangs framing her face. Her indigo eyes contain sky-blue flecks. Outside school uniforms, she favors cute, feminine coords with ribbons, reflecting her lovely-type idol aesthetic.
Her personality blends sweetness, energetic enthusiasm, and occasional clumsiness. Her inherited "Kira Smile" uplifts others and calms crying children. Initially hesitant to assert herself, she often followed her childhood friend Emo Moegi. Over time, she evolves to proactively initiate actions during events like the Jewel Auditions and Princess Cup. She uniquely identifies and nurtures others' shining qualities, mediating conflicts and supporting peers emotionally.
As an idol, she co-founds Miracle☆Kiratts (later Miracle☆StAr) with Emo and manager Rinka Aoba. Using the Sweet Honey brand and catchphrase "Kiratto☆", her performances spread joy and energy. Her idol development shows growing confidence and leadership within her group.
Key relationships include: Emo Moegi, her encouraging childhood friend and teammate; Rinka Aoba, admired for maturity and intelligence; Anna Akagi, initially a rival admired by Mirai and Hikari, whose dynamic shifts in season 3 when Anna acknowledges Mirai's talent and seeks rivalry-fueled friendship; Sara Midorikawa, whom Mirai helps conceal her love for cute things to maintain a cool image; and Daia Nijinosaki, who evolves from a timid acquaintance to a close friend through Mirai's kindness, eventually allowing first-name address. She also creates and nurtures mascot KiracCHU, taking pride in its growth.
Her background features an ordinary upbringing enhancing relatability. Childhood passion for singing and dancing, encouraged by Emo, leads her from initial reluctance in idol activities to embracing challenges. Season 1 has her debut as a Pri☆Chan idol rivaling Anna while learning streaming and performance basics. In season 2's Jewel Auditions, her authentic sparkle earns Jewel Coords, including the Diamond Jewel Coord. Season 3 sees her compete in Pri☆Chan Land's Princess Cup using the PriTama GO device to raise mascots and pursue the Illuminage Queen title by winning Illuminage Coords across park zones. Her journey culminates in inspiring teammates and rivals, cementing her as the idol community's central figure.
Notable trivia includes her July 12 birthday (Japan's Decoration Cake Day), favorite foods of shortcake and eel, blood type B, and hobbies like making sweets and creating intentionally amateurish art. Her name derives from "Momoyama" (peach mountain, referencing her hair color) and "Mirai" (future, symbolizing her aspirational nature).
