Description
Chōrō is a wise, elderly fairy from the world of Kirakira Precure a la Mode who originally resides on Ichigo Mountain, where he dedicates himself to practicing the art of making sweets alongside his disciples in order to bring happiness and please everyone. His journey takes a dramatic turn when he becomes caught in a massive cream explosion, an event that separates his soul from his physical body and leaves him trapped in a ghost-like, incorporeal state. As a result of this incident, his spirit takes on a spectral appearance, his voice can be heard emanating from a magical box, and he eventually takes up residence within the stone oven of the KIRAKIRA Patisserie after the box transforms into the full-sized patisserie, unable to leave the shop's premises. He later explains the legendary story of the patisserie Pretty Cure to the main characters and frequently asks them to protect sweets from those who aim to steal the positive energy known as Kirakiraru.

In his fairy form, Chōrō has purple arms, a shirt, and a tail, with a long white beard that covers most of his face and brownish-orange or brownish-red eyes; he is also typically seen carrying a yellow umbrella. He possesses the ability to transform into a human, appearing as a tall, distinguished older man with white puffy hair, a mustache, brownish-orange eyes, a purple suit, a dark orange ascot, and white gloves, while still retaining the same headgear he has in his fairy form. Despite his advanced age, Chōrō remains quite active and demonstrates a deep, caring personality, especially towards his closest apprentice, a young fairy named Pekorin whom he mentors in the art of making sweets. A notable verbal tic of his is ending his sentences with the sound "jaba".

Throughout the narrative, Chōrō serves as a guide and mentor figure to the Precure team, often using his wisdom to help them navigate challenges, though he sometimes does not have all the answers. He is shown to be the apparent leader of a fairy council that includes several other elder fairies, who gather together to discuss strategies for facing the major threat of Noir. His ghostly condition grants him the ability to float through walls and other solid objects, and Pekorin has been seen being able to pass right through him as well. One of the most significant turning points in his personal development occurs at the climax of the series, when his dormant physical body, having been left alone for so long, absorbs an excessive amount of Kirakiraru. This causes his body to become gigantic and go on a destructive rampage, forcing the Cures to intervene to purify and save him. After being subdued, his spirit reunites with his body, and he finally regains his original physical form, which is depicted with short, stubby legs. In the years following the final battle, Chōrō and Pekorin are shown to have opened their own sweets shop together.
