Aoi Tategami, also known as Cure Gelato, is a 14-year-old second-year student at Ichigozaka Middle School born on August 27th. She is the heiress to the Tategami Corporate empire and is often attended by her butler, Mizushima Mitsuyoshi. Aoi has bright blue eyes, dark blue hair styled in a thick ponytail with a yellow ribbon, and notable fanged teeth. She is enthusiastic, bold, and freedom-loving, with a brave and passionate spirit. She chafes against her household’s strict rules demanding refined behavior. Aoi is the vocalist and guitarist for the rock band Wild Azur, discovered while busking by Sonobe Kei. She idolizes singer Ayane Misaki, whose performance ignited her passion for music, and vows to surpass her. As Cure Gelato, she wields ice-based powers and a sonic roar. Her design fuses ice cream and lion motifs, including a mane-like ponytail with lion ears and a tail. She transforms using a Sweets Pact and introduces herself with the phrase, “With freedom and passion! Let's・La・Mix It All Up! Cure Gelato! Ready to Serve!” In an overseas trip to Paris, Aoi struggles with insecurity about her lack of talent in learning French compared to her friend Ichika Usami. Faced with a crisis, she overcomes her fear and finds the courage to speak French to seek help, marking significant personal growth.
