Description
Director Ton is an overweight male pig character with rosy brown skin, invariably dressed in a white dress shirt, green tie, black pants, and brown shoes. He directs the accounting department and serves as Retsuko's direct supervisor. His management style features frequent sexist remarks toward female subordinates, exemplified by declaring "incompetent women are such a pain in the ass, but they're better than the competent ones," alongside openly favoring male employees. He habitually burdens Retsuko with excessive workloads, often dumping tasks originally assigned to Tsunoda onto her desk.

Ton demonstrates pronounced workplace favoritism, visibly blushing and showing preferential treatment toward Tsunoda while excusing her unfinished assignments. He maintains a close association with Komiya, who reinforces Ton's negative behaviors through agreement; their interactions include shared golfing interests. Ton exhibits limited technological proficiency, struggling with computer tasks.

Despite his conduct, Ton possesses a complex personal life. He displays visible intimidation toward his wife and teenage daughters, yet keeps their photographs on his office desktop. He acknowledges their emotional support during a vulnerable conversation with Retsuko, indicating underlying familial attachment despite his discomfort during events like Family Appreciation Day.

Significant development occurs when an intoxicated Ton admits at a company party that Retsuko possesses leadership potential and could become a "boss," reflecting regret over his past actions. His moral boundaries emerge when he refuses corporate orders to compile employee layoff lists during restructuring. This act of defiance causes his professional demotion but demonstrates loyalty to his team.

Following demotion, Ton temporarily works as an accountant for Retsuko's venture. There, he maintains his characteristic tendency to complain frequently and blame her for perceived harassment, primarily to annoy her during their professional interactions, suggesting core traits persist despite the changed power dynamic.
