TV Special
Description
Svin Glascheit belongs to the Glascheit family, specialists in Beast Magecraft. Functioning as a living "container" for this magecraft rather than a traditional magus, his advancing abilities induce physical and mental alterations. This transformative process has eroded his sense of self, hindering his recall of past emotions. His childhood involved traumatic experiments—skin peeling and immersion in boiling oil—conducted to test his regenerative capabilities and resilience after his nervous system proved uniquely tolerant to the family magecraft.
He found refuge under Lord El-Melloi II's tutelage at the Clock Tower, as the professor understood and protected his condition. Joining the El-Melloi Classroom one month before Flat Escardos made him the most senior student at that time. Svin initially distrusted Flat, recognizing him as another "irregular" through scent, leading to rivalry. Flat nicknamed him "Le Chien" (French for "the dog"), a name Svin dislikes. Despite clashes, they formed a begrudging friendship, becoming known collectively as the "Twin Jewels" of the classroom.
Svin typically displays a calm, docile demeanor but exhibits intense emotions concerning Gray, whose scent he finds uniquely calming and special. This attraction stems from recognizing her as another being altered to serve as a vessel, similar to himself. Gray misinterprets his intense focus as hatred, prompting Lord El-Melloi II to enforce a rule requiring Svin to maintain physical distance from her. His jealousy surfaces when Flat communicates with Gray, motivating Svin to acquire a mobile phone to seek her contact details.
He assists in multiple investigations throughout the El-Melloi II case files:
* In the Gurdoa Davenant case, he helped rescue an injured Lord El-Melloi II from sewers and later aided in subduing Davenant.
* During the Rail Zeppelin incident, he collaborated with Kairi Sisigou, Flat, and Luvia to send reinforcements via a "Touko Travel" spell and was later promoted to the rank of Pride.
* In the Atlas Contract case, he and Flat interfered with Zepia Eltnam Atlasia's simulations to assist Gray and El-Melloi II.
* Against Doctor Heartless and Faker, he battled using Volumen Hydrargyrum armor enhanced by Reines's Mystic Eyes, combining it with his Beast Magecraft to harm spiritual entities.
After graduating, Svin remains connected to the classroom, frequently visiting despite Gray's persistent misunderstanding of his feelings. In *Fate/strange Fake*, he senses Flat's death through the disappearance of his scent. He later travels to Snowfield as part of a group of El-Melloi II's students, becoming one of the Masters of Hippolyta via shared Command Spells. Earlier, he and Roland Berzinsky clashed with Kadoc Zemlupus, but negotiated a truce due to Kadoc's Anti-Beast Magecraft countering their abilities.
Svin's magecraft centers on Beast Magecraft, which reconstructs his nerves, muscles, bones, and cerebrum into animalistic forms, granting enhanced physical traits like wolf-like speed, senses, and regenerative capabilities. His elemental affinity is Fire (altered), and he specializes in Regression-based magecraft. He can employ Gandr curses imbued with innate ferocity and bloodlust.
