Description
Kajika, younger sister to Kumaso tribe leader Takeru in 5th-century Japan, first encounters Prince Oguna of Yamato when her stray arrow accidentally wounds him during a hunt. Taking responsibility, she escorts him to her village for treatment. As Oguna recovers there, a romantic relationship blossoms between them. Kajika remains ignorant of Oguna's true identity as a Yamato prince or his original mission to assassinate her brother. Their deepening bond leads Oguna to consider abandoning his duty to join the Kumaso tribe and marry her.

The discovery of Kajika's familial tie to Takeru creates a central conflict for Oguna, forcing him into a dilemma between his love for Kajika and his obligation to kill her brother. Her existence directly challenges Oguna's loyalties and motivations.

Positioned as one half of a star-crossed romance, Kajika's relationship with Oguna forms the story's emotional core. Her connection to both Oguna and Takeru creates personal stakes within the broader Yamato-Kumaso clan conflict.

Belonging to the Kumaso tribe, depicted as descendants of figures from earlier Phoenix saga chapters, Kajika's background firmly places her within the Kumaso tribal structure. Specific lineage details beyond her brother Takeru remain unelaborated.

Her character arc exemplifies themes of love transcending tribal enmity and the personal consequences of historical conflicts. Through her relationship with Oguna, the story explores how individual connections challenge societal divisions and inherited hatreds.

Kajika's actions and relationships drive key narrative developments, particularly Oguna's internal conflict and his ultimate choices between duty and personal affection. Her presence catalyzes the story's examination of love, loyalty, and sacrifice.
