Description
Uehara Himari leads Afterglow as its bassist and coordinator, wielding her rare, out-of-production black Fender American Vintage '74 Jazz Bass. A third-year in Haneoka Girls' High School's Class 3-A, she stands 155 cm tall, making her the band's shortest member. Her appearance features medium-length pale pink hair typically styled in low pigtails with straightened bangs, fair skin, and sharp-cornered green eyes. Her style leans feminine with monotone casual wear, contrasting her distinct stage outfit: a white dress with a plunging neckline and cut-out shoulders over a black top, paired with black stockings, unique black-and-white shoes, wrist bracelets, and a dark grey hat.
Cheerful and good-natured, Himari strives to unify the band, though her enthusiasm can be unfocused. She tends to misread social situations, leading to unintended outcomes, and is emotionally sensitive, quick to well up at sentimental moments and self-described as romantic. Easily teased, especially by bandmate Moca Aoba, she occasionally shows clumsiness. Despite aspiring to seem cool or mature, she possesses a strong fondness for cute items like stuffed animals and fashionable clothing, keeping up with the latest trends.
Her leadership includes repeated, though unsuccessful, attempts to establish a collective catchphrase ("Hey, hey, ooh~!"). While bandmates playfully reject her ideas, they consistently show support, like keeping the unusual lucky charms she crafted. Over time, Himari forges closer friendships beyond Afterglow, bonding with Aya Maruyama and Imai Lisa over shared personalities and interests during the "Happy Summer Vacation!" event, and maintains a friendship with cram school classmate Ushigome Rimi.
Her hobbies focus on sweets and fashion. She enjoys comparing and reviewing convenience store confectionery, baking, and reading fashion magazines. Favorite foods are chocolate and convenience store snacks; she dislikes shiitake mushrooms and spicy foods. She works part-time at a fast-food restaurant and occasionally confides in Tsugumi Hazawa at Hazawa Coffee after hours. Weight concerns surface periodically, often triggered by Moca's teasing. Additional traits include sewing aptitude, seasickness susceptibility, and an older sister noted as intimidating when angered.
Outside her band, Himari expresses strong admiration for Kaoru Seta. Alternate depictions include being a second-year Tennis Club member at Garupa Private Academy intrigued by a cherry blossom legend in the "Girl's Blossom Project" dating sim, and transforming into the pink-themed Cure Americana in "BanG Dream! Pretty Cure!". Her personal catchphrase "Hey, hey, ooh~!" recurs across media. She was born on October 23rd, a Libra.
