Description
Hagumi Kitazawa, a third-year in Class 3-E at Hanasakigawa Girls' High School, plays bass in Hello, Happy World! after Kokoro Tsurumaki's invitation. She chose the bass for its fewer strings, finding it easier than the guitar her older brother once taught her. She practiced diligently after getting her own instrument.

Her family runs Kitazawa Meats, a butcher shop famous for its croquettes. Hagumi helps out in her free time and loves their croquettes, along with meat and curry, having no food dislikes. Family life involves challenges, including frequent parental arguments. These conflicts sometimes lead to her mother having emotional outbursts and her father leaving home for long stretches; Hagumi finds him intimidating when angry. Her parents historically disapproved of her energetic, sporty nature, deeming it unfeminine, which pushed her further into athletics.

Athletically gifted, Hagumi excels in multiple sports. She captains and stars for the local softball team "Sky Stars," enjoys marathons as a favorite hobby, and demonstrates notable flexibility through backflips and breakdancing, even in costumes like Marie's. Her running speed is exceptional. Beyond softball, she participates with the dance club, sometimes collaborating with dancers from other schools, and also plays karuta. She acknowledges struggling academically.

In appearance, Hagumi has bright orange short hair, copper eyes, and distinctive cowlicks. At 152 cm, she is the band's shortest member. Her casual style blends sporty and feminine elements, featuring sundresses with sunflower patterns, orange jackets, and accessories like animal-eared beanies. Seasonal wear includes winter sweaters with bear-shaped pockets and summer college jackets with pleated skirts.

Her personality radiates cheerfulness, energy, and a passion for sports. She often refers to herself in the third person and enjoys recruiting others for athletic activities. Despite tomboyish tendencies, she loves cute things, especially admiring Michelle's bear costume, yet feels self-conscious about her boyish look, believing cute styles don't suit her. Observers sometimes note her as the band's most feminine member. She's sensitive to others' emotions, disliking competitive situations where losing might cause sadness, driving her dedication to Hello, Happy World!'s mission of spreading happiness.

Relationships include a childhood friendship with Kasumi Toyama, though Hagumi initially didn't recognize Kasumi after a hairstyle change. They reconnected at CiRCLE after losing touch when their neighborhood park was removed. Hagumi uses nicknames: "Kanon-chan-senpai" for Kanon Matsubara, "Kokoron" for Kokoro Tsurumaki, and "Mii-kun" for Misaki Okusawa. Kasumi and Himari Uehara call her "Hagu." Outside the band, she's friends with Saaya Yamabuki and has proposed a collaboration between their family businesses.

Additional facets include her attachment to a childhood monkey stuffed animal named "Monkey," which her mother repairs. Her design in the Ojamajo Doremi collaboration drew inspiration from Fujiwara Hazuki. She occasionally performs in bunny costumes for events as "Marie" but perceives Michelle solely as a mascot.
