Tae Hanazono commands the lead guitar for Poppin'Party, residing with her parents alongside twenty cherished pet rabbits. Among them, Odd-Eye holds a special place as her affectionate "boyfriend," fondly nicknamed Occhan or Oddie. Her guitar journey ignited in elementary school, steadily cultivating formidable skill. This devotion drove her to part-time work at live houses and instrument shops starting in her second year of high school, later advancing to manage the shop as colleagues departed.
Her Poppin'Party connection sparked during a home economics project with Kasumi Toyama, where Tae taught Kasumi basic chords. Initially doubtful of Kasumi’s SPACE audition due to skill gaps, Tae’s reservations dissolved when witnessing the band’s raw, heartfelt debut with Arisa Ichigaya and Rimi Ushigome. Deeply stirred by their potential and the euphoria of shared music, she joined as the fourth member. She deems Poppin'Party her first genuine friends, despite a childhood link to Rei Wakana (LAYER) from shared music classes; years apart had forged distance between them.
Tae carries a breezy, airheaded demeanor, often drifting at her own tempo and delivering perplexing comments. Yet beneath this lies acute musical intuition and persistent optimism, occasionally startling others with piercing insights. Her fervent rabbit adoration constantly sidetracks her, sparking daydreams mid-conversation. She likens friends to rabbits—Rimi for gentleness, Arisa for twin tails evoking bunny ears—eschews rabbit-shaped foods, snaps photos of rabbit-themed items, and later knits outfits for her pets.
During her second year, professional uncertainty shadowed Tae’s technical prowess, prompting her to hone skills through street performances. This phase intertwined with reconnecting to Rei, who invited her to briefly helm RAISE A SUILEN’s lead guitar before Rokka Asahi assumed the role permanently. The stint cemented her allegiance to Poppin'Party’s collaborative essence.
Physically, Tae bears gentle green eyes and long, straight dark brown hair with choppy bangs, including a signature swath masking her right ear. Her style blends maturity and femininity, shifting seasonally: early ensembles used sheer fabrics and gems; winter featured a pink off-shoulder sweater with a black choker; summer swapped to mint-green floral tees and high-waisted white pants. At 164 cm, she stands tallest in Poppin'Party.
Further traits include coining mashups like "Rosepa" (Roselia + Poppin'Party), idolizing guitarist Mortin/Moteen, and deploying a potent "puppy eyes" tactic. She wields a signature blue ESP Snapper guitar, acquired through her own savings.
