Milo du Scorpion, known as Scorpio Milo, safeguards the Sanctuary's eighth temple as the Scorpio Gold Saint. Achieving this rank at the exceptionally young age of seven, he received the Scorpio Gold Cloth then. His training took place on the Greek island of Milos, the origin of his name. Milo carries himself with pride and honor, holding the integrity of the Gold Saints in the highest regard. He frequently tests opponents' resolve, offering them a chance to surrender before deploying his signature Scarlet Needle technique, which inflicts unbearable pain capable of inducing madness or death. Despite his formidable nature, he demonstrates nobility by acknowledging defeat when justified and strategically uses words to unsettle adversaries.
In his youth, depicted in *Episode G*, Milo displayed immaturity and resentment towards Leo Aiolia due to Aiolia's connection to his traitor-branded brother Aiolos. Battles forged his maturity, teaching him sacrifice and loyalty from allies like Aiolia. He shares a notable friendship with Aquarius Camus, evident in the Hades arc and expanded in spin-offs like *Episode G*, where they join forces against threats including Titan-released giants.
During the Sanctuary arc, Milo confronts Bronze Saints Seiya and Shiryu, overwhelming them with Restriction and Scarlet Needles. His pivotal clash is with Cygnus Hyoga, whom he subjects to fourteen Scarlet Needles. When Hyoga awakens his seventh sense and counters with the Aurora Thunder Attack, Milo recognizes the Bronze Saint's unwavering loyalty to Athena. He stops Hyoga's bleeding and allows him passage, later atoning by repairing Hyoga's Cloth with his own blood. In the Hades arc, Milo initially distrusts Gemini Kanon's return, attacking him with fourteen Scarlet Needles and seemingly delivering the fatal Antares. Instead, he secretly halts Kanon's bleeding, affirming him as a Gold Saint and ally. Later, he confronts the spectres of Gemini Saga, Aquarius Camus, and Capricorn Shura for killing Virgo Shaka using the Athena Exclamation. Milo, alongside Aries Mu and Leo Aiolia, counters with the same forbidden technique, destroying the Virgo Temple until Athena resolves the conflict.
Accompanying Mu and Aiolia to Hades' castle, Milo faces Wyvern Rhadamanthys. Weakened by the castle's barrier reducing their power to one-tenth, all three are defeated by Rhadamanthys's Greatest Caution and cast into Cocytus. Revived by Athena's Cosmo, Milo joins the Gold Saints at the Wailing Wall. Using a Libra weapon, he contributes to the collective effort to breach the wall, culminating in the sacrifice of all twelve Gold Saints to destroy it and enable the Bronze Saints' passage to Elysion.
Spin-offs expand his story: *Saint Seiya: Saintia Shō* depicts Milo intervening years earlier to thwart Eris's resurrection, saving Equuleus Shō and battling entities like the dryad Atë and Rigel of Orion, later reporting to the Sanctuary. *Episode G* further explores his early dynamics with Aiolia and Camus, including joint battles against Titans and revived warriors. *Next Dimension* features Milo in spirit form aiding Athena in her temporal conflict. A non-canonical depiction in *Legend of Sanctuary* reimagines Milo as female.
