Kazuma, a royal guard sworn to protect Princess Ran, maintains unwavering loyalty following the king's death and Tamamushi's seizure of power. He aids Ran's escape when Kabuto challenges the regime, but both are recaptured by Tamamushi's forces led by Jinnai. Crucified for his defiance, Kazuma is later freed by Kabuto. He then joins the rebellion against Tamamushi and Jinnai, his actions consistently upholding the legitimate royal line. After their defeat, Kazuma supports Princess Ran in restoring the kingdom's order.
