Description
Pan Yuling, also known as Yu-Lin, is the sister of Pan Guanglin and the romantic interest of Kenshiro Kasumi. She first encountered Kenshiro when he was severely injured, nursing him back to health and forging a deep bond. Her adoptive father arranged her marriage to Mang Kuangyun to settle a debt, though she loved Kenshiro. Mang Kuangyun erased her memories and abandoned her with a nomadic warlord in Northern China's Hebei province.

Living with the tribe, she adopted the identity of Li Xiubao and became a horse bandit leader. She led guerrilla strikes against the Imperial Japanese Army, mastering Praying Mantis style martial arts and nurturing fierce animosity toward the Japanese. This period transformed her from her earlier compassionate self into a hardened resistance fighter.

Yu-Ling eventually returned to Shanghai. A reunion with Kenshiro restored her lost memories, leading to their marriage. Her life shifted again when her brother Pan Guanglin was crippled in an assassination attempt. She assumed leadership of the Qing Bang triad in his place, navigating Shanghai's volatile underworld with martial skill and strategic command.

Her journey moved from caregiver to warrior and then to leader, shaped by conflict, memory loss, and loyalty. The traumatic separation from Kenshiro and her harsh experiences in the north reshaped her, while her Shanghai return merged her past identity with newfound resilience.
