Shizuku is a blue fox hailing from the world of Sakuragahara. She shares a profound bond with the human girl Sakura, anchored by their mutual promise to watch the cherry blossoms bloom together. When the antagonist Karasu Tengu attacked their home, Shizuku provided Sakura with three symbol-adorned cards to seek aid and pushed her through a portal to safety on Earth. This selfless act led to Shizuku’s capture by Karasu Tengu.

Under Karasu Tengu’s control, Shizuku was brainwashed and reshaped into the masked antagonist Samidare. In this corrupted form, she served Karasu Tengu and wielded the power to transform foes into origami, deploying it against the Pretty Cure team during their mission to save Sakuragahara. As Samidare, she exhibited reluctance in combat, notably hesitating and retreating when commanded to strike Sakura.

A turning point unfolded when Cure Whip struck Samidare mid-battle, fracturing half her mask and revealing one eye. This allowed Sakura to identify her as Shizuku. Though Sakura despaired over Shizuku’s lost memories, Cure Whip’s resolve activated the Miracle Sakulight, revitalizing Sakuragahara’s surroundings. Sakura’s unwavering pleas pierced the brainwashing, shattering the mask entirely and restoring Shizuku’s true form and memories.

Reclaimed and whole, Shizuku allied with Sakura and the Pretty Cure team against Karasu Tengu. She exploited his vulnerability during the final clash, ensuring his defeat. Shizuku then honored her promise to Sakura by joining a flower-viewing celebration beneath the cherry blossoms, marking the return of peace and their enduring friendship.
