Movie
Description
Matarō Tamada enters Y-Academy as a first-year scholarship student, his admission facilitated by fortunate circumstances despite an ordinary family background. His distinct appearance features black onion-shaped hair, round glasses, and dark blue eyes, accentuated by a uniform with green scholarship details and white shoes bearing red accents.

Lifelong exposure to vintage superhero shows and tokusatsu genres fuels his otaku-oriented passion for heroism. This manifests in jubilant overreactions—like his exaggerated response to meeting Kengo Benimaru—and investigative habits mimicking fictional detectives such as Detective Conapoine, complete with signature laughs and sporadic Ina Bauer poses. Matarō's worldview was profoundly shaped by formative moments with his superhero-enthusiast grandfather, whose influence persisted until his passing. Key declarations capture his aspirations: "The best hero in the universe... I want to be one," and "LET'S GO! I'M GONNA BE THE GREATEST HERO IN THE UNIVERSE!!".

As leader of the Special Effects Hero Club and integral YSP Club member, Matarō forges pivotal bonds. He considers Jinpei Jiba a close friend and right-hand man, forming a core trio with him and Sandayū Koma. Initially antagonistic ties, like with Mera Raidō, evolve into trusted alliances after Mera joins the club. He deeply admires Ryusuke Kyubi’s elegance and transformation sequences, frequently appearing during them. His alliances extend to Student Council President Ranto Kirigakure and Y-Lab leader Kuka Nanakumo—the latter engineered devices enabling his heroic transformations.

Matarō’s journey involves multiple powered states via specialized technology. Kuka’s Shining Watch transforms him into Shining Boy. Later, fusing with alien entity T-Dus through the UR Watch GAI unlocks his T-Dine form, which evolves into Last T-Dine under Zazel’s training. The Majin Watch further facilitates his MT Bouncer transformation by merging powers with Bousou Maten Soranaki.

In the Y School Heroes Movie narrative, Matarō confronts academy mysteries and threats as a major protagonist, battling alongside allies like Jinpei Jiba. He contributes to pivotal clashes against extraterrestrial foes, including efforts to defeat alien antagonist Mazera. His perseverance-driven development echoes his mantra: "That's it. Make an effort and face each other. Grandpa taught me... I'm not afraid! I will definitely overcome it!".
