His father deemed him "cold-hearted" due to emotional detachment, a trait lasting until his father's death. By middle school, he met Mikoto Suoh and Izumo Kusanagi, forging a lifelong bond. At age 10, a mysterious lakeside man prophesied he would meet his King, shaping his outlook. Three years later, after crashing his bicycle into Mikoto, he instantly recognized Mikoto as his destined King, calling him "King" years before Mikoto officially became the Red King.
He displayed a calm, optimistic, and friendly personality, readily talking to strangers. Despite his generally kind nature, he occasionally revealed a twisted humor, laughing at others' misfortunes or fleeing danger, like abandoning Yō Chitose during an attack.
