TV-Series
Description
Kiritsugu Emiya exists in an alternate timeline within *Fate/kaleid liner Prisma Illya*, separate from his *Fate/Zero* portrayal. He survives and maintains a marriage with Irisviel von Einzbern. They reside in Fuyuki City with their biological daughter Illyasviel von Einzbern and adopted son Shirou Emiya. Kiritsugu adopted Shirou in childhood under circumstances differing from the main *Fate/stay night* timeline, without involvement in a catastrophic fire.

A critical divergence occurs when Kiritsugu prevents the Fourth Holy Grail War. His actions lead to the Einzbern family's downfall, as their resources and purpose were tied to the war. This choice stems from his desire to protect his family, ensuring Illya lives a normal life free from her role as a Holy Grail vessel. He abandons his previous ideals and severs ties with the Einzbern pursuit of the Grail.

Kiritsugu is frequently absent due to overseas work, leaving Irisviel, Illya, Shirou, and maids Sella and Leysritt to manage the household. His physical appearances are minimal, limited to flashbacks or brief scenes. In one direct scene, he converses with Irisviel while smoking. When she worries Illya might be in trouble abroad, Kiritsugu pragmatically questions the reliability of her maternal intuition, noting similar prior concerns.

Despite limited presence, his personality shows genuine care for Irisviel and Illya beneath an outwardly cold demeanor. His commitment to family over ideology mirrors his *Fate/Zero* self's unrealized wish to prioritize family safety. This trait surfaces when Kuro references Kiritsugu's utilitarian philosophy of "saving the many over the few" during a confrontation with Angelica Ainsworth in *Fate/kaleid liner Prisma Illya 3rei!!*, indicating his ideological legacy persists indirectly.

No abilities or Magecraft are demonstrated or detailed within the series. His role remains peripheral, serving as a foundational element for the altered family dynamics and Illya's peaceful upbringing rather than an active story participant.
