Description
Misuzu stands as a powerful horse daiyokai, distinguished by his immense size compared to other yokai. His black skin contrasts with a horse's head and a lavender-colored kimono. Two golden rings adorn his right ear, while three small bells hang from his left ear. His right hand resembles a bull's hoof, and his left hand appears human-like, decorated with two golden bangles.

Personality-wise, Misuzu displays consistent condescension toward lesser yokai and humans, often speaking with ulterior motives. Yet, he demonstrates fierce loyalty and protectiveness toward his followers and those he considers friends. His communication remains deceptive, but his actions frequently reveal genuine concern for his allies.

His history includes a decades-old duel with the powerful exorcist Reiko Natsume, whom he lost to. As a result, his name was inscribed in her Book of Friends. Reiko never summoned him before her death, leaving his name bound until her grandson, Takashi Natsume, inherited the book. Learning of Takashi's intent to return names, Misuzu sought him out. During their first meeting, he noted Takashi's resemblance to Reiko before attempting to attack a human he mistakenly believed was arguing with Takashi, intending this as a favor in exchange for his name. Takashi forcibly stopped him using the book's power, causing Misuzu to freeze and collapse.

Misuzu maintains significant relationships: he periodically battles the yokai Sasame to determine superiority; he respects fellow daiyokai Madara but distrusts his motives regarding Takashi, referring to him derogatorily; he considers the yokai Chobihige a drinking companion and friend; and he belongs to the Dog's Circle, an alliance of powerful spirits.

His abilities include flight while carrying multiple passengers, the power to transform into human form, and consuming large spirits whole with a single bite.
