Description
Shinji Tokita is a third-year Mechanical Engineering student at Izu University and a prominent co-leader of its diving club, Peek a Boo, alongside Ryūjirō Kotobuki. He organizes activities and mentors younger members.

Standing 190 centimeters tall with a notably muscular build, Shinji possesses short-cropped black hair and thick eyebrows. His imposing stature exceeds even Kotobuki's. He favors casual summer attire like t-shirts and shorts but exhibits a strong preference for minimal clothing, frequently stripping to his boxers or appearing fully nude during club gatherings.

Shinji balances boisterousness with responsibility. He enthusiastically engages in the club's rowdy drinking culture, often coercing juniors like Iori Kitahara and Kōhei Imamura into heavy consumption. Uninhibited about nudity, he participates in or instigates streaking and communal naked sleepovers. Yet, he demonstrates genuine dedication to scuba diving, approaching safety protocols and training seriously. He ensures younger members receive proper guidance, emphasizing diving's potential dangers, contrasting his unrestrained behavior.

He possesses exceptional physical strength, capable of lifting peers like Iori with one arm and delivering powerful tennis serves that break rackets. Shinji also plays the piano, performing the Rock Paper Strippers theme at a wedding reception. His relationships are key. He shares a close, heterosexual life-partnership with Kotobuki, often described as comrades-in-arms due to similar personalities and joint leadership. Shinji acts as a dependable older brother figure to junior members, assisting them with jobs and personal challenges despite involving them in chaos. He has a confirmed romantic relationship with an unseen girlfriend, a fact that astonishes others. Hints also suggest a complex, unresolved romantic history involving fellow seniors Azusa Hamaoka and Nanaka Kotegawa from events predating the younger members' arrival.

Within Peek a Boo, Shinji helps uphold unspoken rules, protecting female members from unwanted advances and moderating behavior during genuine emergencies, like mistakenly believing a member might be pregnant. The club's notorious reputation for wild antics is partially attributed to a past incident where Shinji and Kotobuki resolved a campus crisis involving a distressed student, leading the university administration to publicly commend Peek a Boo as a cover-up strategy.
