Anya serves as Negi Springfield's childhood friend who accompanies him to the Magic World (Mundus Magicus). She stands alongside Negi and his students as a founding member of the Ala Alba (White Wing) brigade, dedicated to uncovering the fate of Negi's father, Nagi Springfield. Upon arrival through a portal, Fate Averruncus ambushes the group; his forces destroy the gateway, violently scattering the Ala Alba members across the realm. Anya is captured during this assault, alongside Asuna Kagurazaka. Their captors employ a body double to impersonate Asuna while holding both Anya and the real Asuna prisoner within Cosmo Entelecheia's stronghold. This imprisonment becomes central, driving Ala Alba's later efforts. Aided by Magic World armies, Ala Alba assaults the stronghold to free them. This rescue coincides with a magic gate opening above Mahora Academy, drawing Negi's remaining students and faculty into the larger battle unfolding in the Magic World. The operation successfully liberates Anya. Following Cosmo Entelecheia's defeat and the resolution of the immediate threat to the Magic World, Anya returns safely to Mahora Academy with Negi and the group.
