Anya is Negi Springfield's childhood friend and a founding member of the Ala Alba brigade, dedicated to uncovering the fate of Negi's father. She accompanies Negi to the Magic World, where Fate Averruncus ambushes the group and destroys the gateway, scattering the team. Anya is captured alongside Asuna Kagurazaka and held prisoner within Cosmo Entelecheia's stronghold, with a body double impersonating Asuna. Ala Alba later assaults the stronghold with the aid of Magic World armies, successfully liberating Anya. After Cosmo Entelecheia's defeat, she returns safely to Mahora Academy with Negi and the group. On an earlier occasion, she revives Kotarou Inugami after he is knocked out during an attack.
