Description
Ōma Tokita, also romanized as Ohma Tokita, is a highly skilled martial artist who originates from a place called The Inside. His existence began as a clone of Shen Wulong, created over thirty years ago by the Worm organization. He was kidnapped as an infant from their facility by Gaoh Mukaku, who suffered severe injuries during the rescue. Mukaku lost consciousness upon reaching The Inside, and the infant vanished.

For twelve years, the boy survived alone in the harsh wilderness of The Inside, living without a name. His life changed when he stole from a yakuza group and was chased by their enforcer, Ando Jiro. In a moment of desperation, he seized Ando and leaped from a building. This act of sheer resolve caught the attention of another yakuza enforcer, Tokita Niko, who saved him. Impressed, Niko offered to train him in his martial art, the Niko Style, and gave him the name "Tokita Ohma," combining the names of the Tokita and Shichiohba Wards where he had lived near the border.

Under Niko's guidance, Ōma underwent intense training in the Niko Style. A crucial trial occurred in Gakigahara Forest, where he struggled for ten days to land a single hit on his master while weighted down, with Niko fighting all-out. Through continuous adaptation, Ōma finally succeeded, understanding the purpose of the weights and achieving the focus needed to learn the ultimate secret technique, Demonsbane.

His life was shattered by an encounter with a man called The Other Tokita Niko, who overwhelmed him in combat, demonstrated deep knowledge of the Niko Style, and forcibly implanted the Possessing Spirit technique within him, calling him a "Tiger's Vessel." Soon after, Setsuna Kiryu triggered the technique, causing Ōma to rampage until his master intervened. He lost consciousness during a battle between the two Nikos and awoke to find Niko mortally wounded by Genzan Taira, with Kiryu present. With his final breath, Niko saved Ōma, who then vowed to hunt down and kill Genzan, a pursuit lasting years.

Ōma possesses a rough but well-meaning demeanor. He once displayed significant arrogance, often condescending to and provoking his opponents. A defining trait is his lust for battle and constant pursuit of challenges against strong fighters. He is short-tempered and capable of violence, such as when he nearly assaulted his employer for denying him a fight, yet he refuses to engage unwilling opponents.

Beneath his aggression, he shows protective instincts toward those who support him. Raised in The Inside without formal education, he is illiterate and lacks common knowledge, initially addressing people by their full names. After regaining lost memories, his personality softened; he became less arrogant and more open to casual conversation. He further matured, adopting a mentor role for Narushima Koga, intending to entrust him with the evolution of his master's Niko Style.

In appearance, Ōma is a tan-skinned man of above-average height with an extremely athletic build. He has a notable mess of dark, messy hair, often compared to seaweed, and a narrow, confident gaze. His typical casual wear is a black and grey t-shirt, blue jeans, and gold-white sneakers. He has also been seen in a red and white hooded jacket with white Christian crosses on the sleeves. For fighting, he wears black boxing shorts with red bottoms or light-blue colored boxing shorts with black spats.

Ōma's primary fighting style is the Niko-ryuu or Niko Style, which synthesizes principles from various martial arts into four core katas: Adamantine, Flame, Redirection, and Water. Mastery of all four is essential for completeness.

The Adamantine Kata uses muscle control to harden the body. Its techniques include Indestructible for defense and powerful strikes, Ironbreaker for enhancing strikes, Iron Fingers for finger jabs and holds, and Bone Binding to move broken body parts.

The Flame Kata emphasizes movement and positioning. Techniques include Flashfire for creating afterimages, Phantom Pace for evasive sidestepping, Raging Fire for rapid acceleration, and Earth-Shrinking, an ultimate technique that manipulates the center of gravity for deceptive movement.

The Redirection Kata manipulates an opponent's force and requires exceptional kinetic vision. Techniques include Weeping Willow for altering attack trajectories, Change of Scenery for throwing opponents, Chi Blockage for nerve strikes, Entanglement for joint manipulation, Flowing Edge for deflecting attacks including projectiles, and Marionette, the ultimate technique for efficient movement when stamina is depleted.

The Water Kata is grappling-based, emphasizing flexibility. Techniques include Bind of Pisces for immobilizing arms, Guillotine and Jellyfish Hold for damaging the neck, Screw Cutter Jizo for armlocks, Seagrass Hold for weapon or limb capture, Water Dragon's Vein for inducing unconsciousness or spinal injury, and Water Mirror, the ultimate technique for using an opponent's body part to apply holds.

His most powerful technique is Demonsbane, the ultimate secret of the Niko Style, which redirects an opponent's attack power back at them while adding the user's own power.

A significant power is the Advance, or Possessing Spirit, a transformation that amplifies his physical abilities like speed and strength at a great cost. Overuse causes severe side effects, including blood vessel damage, cerebral hemorrhaging, memory loss, hallucinations, and potential heart failure.

Other notable abilities include superhuman physical characteristics, enhanced senses such as kinetic vision, limited energy manipulation for efficient movement, adaptation through pain-induced endorphin release, body control to operate injured limbs, limited biological manipulation to attack nerves, precognition via the Flowing Edge technique, and dream manipulation for mental training.

In a documented crossover event, Ōma sought a challenge against strong opponents like Baki Hanma, feeling a kinship through their similarities. He was notably shocked to learn about Baki's father, Yuujirou Hanma, and Yuujirou's awareness of the Niko Style and his master. During this event, he demonstrated his capability by stunning Pickle, a primitive caveman with strength comparable to Yuujirou Hanma, using a single roundhouse kick to the head.
