Description
Annerose von Grünewald, originally Annerose von Müsel, was born into an impoverished aristocratic family. After her mother, Caribelle von Müsel, died in a childhood car accident, Annerose assumed maternal responsibilities for her younger brother, Reinhard von Müsel, forging an exceptionally close bond.

Residing in a middle-class neighborhood, Annerose encountered Siegfried Kircheis, a boy five years her junior. Awestruck by her beauty, Kircheis initially fled. Annerose requested Kircheis watch over Reinhard, a promise he honored until his death, establishing his lifelong devotion.

Annerose's life changed irrevocably when a high nobleman reported her beauty to the Imperial Court. Kaiser Friedrich IV commanded her presence at Neue Sanssouci Palace as his consort. Her father, Sebastian von Müsel, accepted a substantial sum—reportedly 500,000 Imperial Marks—in exchange, effectively selling her into sexual servitude. In return for compliance, she was elevated to Countess and granted the name "von Grünewald".

This event sparked Reinhard's fury and his oath to dismantle the Goldenbaum Dynasty to rescue her. Reinhard and Kircheis committed themselves through military advancement. At court, Annerose endured profound isolation and scorn due to her humble origins. Her sole allies were Viscountess Dorothea von Schafhausen and Baroness Magdalena von Westfalen. She faced significant hostility, including an assassination attempt orchestrated by the Kaiser's former concubine, Marquise Susanna von Benemunde.

Despite hardships, Annerose displayed no bitterness. She arranged her father's burial beside her mother's grave following his death in 793 UC. She implored Reinhard to forgive Marquise Benemunde after the assassination plot, surprising him with her mercy.

After Kaiser Friedrich IV's death in 796 UC, the succession crisis ignited the Lippstadt Rebellion. Kircheis died saving Reinhard's life during the civil war, profoundly impacting both siblings. When Reinhard later questioned if she loved Kircheis, Annerose did not directly answer. She declared her intention to retreat to the Freuden Berge countryside, refusing to see Reinhard again until he fulfilled his and Kircheis's promise to conquer the universe.

Annerose maintained seclusion after Reinhard seized power, established the Goldenlöwe Dynasty, and became Kaiser. She did not attend his coronation but was elevated to Grand Duchess and named heir presumptive. She later emerged to support his marriage to Hildegard von Mariendorf, visiting the couple before and after their wedding.

In May 801 UC, Terraist assassins targeted the pregnant Hildegard at the Imperial Residence. Annerose intervened, hurling a statuette to stun an assailant, enabling Ulrich Kessler to effect a rescue. Later, as Reinhard succumbed to terminal illness, she assisted in nursing him until his death on 26 July 801 UC.

Throughout her life, Annerose exhibited resilience and emotional fortitude, often concealing her true feelings. Her existence fundamentally shaped Reinhard's ambitions and the transformation of the Galactic Empire, as noted by observers like Julian Mintz.
