Description
Annerose von Grünewald, born Annerose von Müsel, grew up in a middle-class neighborhood as part of a once-noble family fallen into poverty. After her mother’s death in a car accident during her childhood, she embraced a maternal role for her younger brother, Reinhard von Lohengramm, forging a fiercely protective bond. During these years, she met Siegfried Kircheis, a boy five years her junior, who became captivated by her grace. Annerose secured Kircheis’s vow to protect Reinhard eternally—a pledge he honored until his demise.

Her fate altered when a high-ranking nobleman, struck by her beauty, compelled her into becoming a consort for Kaiser Friedrich IV. In exchange, her father gained wealth, and she received the title of Countess von Grünewald. This act ignited Reinhard’s determination to overthrow the Goldenbaum Dynasty and free her, a mission he pursued with Kircheis. Within the Imperial Court, Annerose endured scorn and danger due to her modest lineage, surviving assassination attempts orchestrated by rivals like Marquise Sussanna von Beenemünde. She countered adversity with quiet strength, urging mercy for her foes and ensuring her father’s burial beside her mother’s grave.

After Friedrich IV’s death and the subsequent Imperial Civil War, Annerose withdrew from society following Kircheis’s wartime death. When Reinhard pressed her about Kircheis, she evaded the inquiry but vowed to remain secluded until his conquests concluded. She abstained from his coronation as Kaiser yet later emerged to endorse his union with Hildegard von Mariendorf, visiting them frequently. During one visit, she thwarted a Terraist assassination attempt on Hildegard, striking an assailant with a statuette to enable rescue. In Reinhard’s final illness, she returned to care for him until his passing.

Annerose maintained a quiet yet pivotal influence, her life inextricably shaping Reinhard’s ascent and the New Galactic Empire’s foundation. Her sparse connections included court allies like Viscountess Dorothea von Schafhausen and Baroness Magdalena von Westfalen. Despite enduring profound personal trials, she harbored no enduring bitterness, steadfastly valuing reconciliation and familial devotion above all else.
