Hayakawa is a photographer who shares a workplace with Seiko Daichi. He enters into a romantic entanglement with Seiko, a relationship that introduces tension into the Daichi family and mirrors its inherent dysfunction. Their affair concludes when Seiko ends the relationship in the final stages of the series.
