As the protagonist’s childhood friend, he joins the inaugural journey to the sea and becomes a steadfast member of the core team defending Yumemishima Island against the Noroi Clan alongside Chūta.

In the 2015 film adaptation, Boobo’s narrative prominence diminishes as key story functions shift to the new character Mampuku. Though relegated to a secondary role, he retains his defining gluttony and loyal camaraderie.
