Description
Hasuta is a male Hasturan alien from the planet Hastur, his character inspired by the King in Yellow entity incorporated into the Cthulhu Mythos. He is the son of the owner of Carcosa Computer Entertainment, a prominent space-based video game company parodying Sony Computer Entertainment. Initially sent to Earth to gather intelligence on human entertainment for Yoriko Yasaka, this mission fails, leading him to stay on Earth permanently.
He later becomes an agent for the Space Defense Agency, working alongside colleagues Nyaruko and Kuuko, both former classmates from space elementary school. As a youth, he frequently intervened to stop conflicts between Nyaruko and Kuuko, demonstrating superior combat abilities to either of them at the time. To integrate into human society, he enrolls at Mahiro Yasaka's school under the human alias Hasuta Yasaka and develops romantic feelings toward Mahiro, though his shy nature complicates expressing them.
Physically, he features long blonde hair styled into a side braid on the right and two thin bunny ear-like ponytails on top, complemented by large aqua-blue eyes and a pale complexion. His typical attire consists of hoodies, shorts, and sneakers, maintained even in swimwear. This appearance often leads to initial mistaken identification as a young girl. He possesses a transformation ability shifting him into a "power form," triggered by specific physical contact to his front. This form results in a more masculine appearance and mature personality distinct from his usual demeanor.
In his normal state, his personality exhibits obedience, shyness, and notable innocence; he is the only character never shown swearing at others. He maintains close relationships with both Nyaruko and Kuuko, stemming from their shared history. His dynamic with Luhy Distone evolves significantly from initial hostility due to her negative assumptions about his family background to a supportive friendship where she assumes a maternal or sisterly role toward him. Later developments indicate Luhy develops romantic feelings for him, declaring herself an opponent to Mahiro.
His combat capabilities center on aerokinesis, enabling him to generate powerful winds, create vacuum blades, and form vacuum areas around adversaries, positioning him as a formidable fighter. His personal development includes adapting to human life, navigating unrequited affection for Mahiro, and forming meaningful connections like the one with Luhy, while consistently serving as a stabilizing presence within the core group.
