Hasuta is a Hasturan alien from the planet Hastur, originating from the Cthulhu Mythos as an interpretation of the King in Yellow character later incorporated into Lovecraftian lore. He attended space elementary school with Nyaruko and Kuuko, frequently mediating their conflicts and establishing himself as stronger than both even in childhood. His background includes being the son of the owner of Carcosa Computer Entertainment (CCE), a prominent space-based video game company modeled after Sony Computer Entertainment. Initially sent to Earth to gather intelligence on human entertainment from Yoriko Yasaka, he abandoned this mission after failing and chose to remain. He later joined the Space Defense Agency as an agent alongside Nyaruko and Kuuko, protecting against extraterrestrial threats.
Physically, Hasuta presents a youthful, androgynous appearance often mistaken for a young girl.
