Professionally reliable and level-headed, he often acts as the straight man, counterbalancing the eccentric behavior of his best friend and fellow subordinate, Nasubi. This dynamic frequently causes Karauri annoyance or exasperation at Nasubi's illogical actions, though they share a close, almost brotherly bond. Karauri acknowledges and respects Nasubi's artistic talent, even if he admits he cannot fully appreciate or understand it like their superior does.
