Description
Hercule Barton, alias Elly, is a 16-year-old member of the Milky Holmes detective team, standing 151 cm tall and weighing 46 kg. Defined by extreme shyness and timidity, she struggles to speak with others and is frequently ignored, even when attempting to act as the group's voice of reason. This passivity often leaves her overlooked in conversation, though her actions can convey a quiet determination more effectively than her words. She flinches under even brief observation, blushing frequently from embarrassment. Among her peers, she displays the highest sexual awareness, reacting strongly to suggestive situations by refusing inappropriate poses or explaining risqué behavior. She challenges her anxieties through modeling jobs, though these result in nightmares about being watched.

Trained at Holmes Detective Academy with her teammates, Hercule and Milky Holmes suffered defeat against the Gentleman Thieves one month prior to the main events, losing their supernatural Toys and being expelled to an attic. During their efforts to regain their Toys, she participated in school activities and encountered the Gentleman Thieves—Henriette Mystère, Stone River, Twenty, and Rat—in their civilian identities. At a museum incident, she and her team destroyed self-portraits using temporary Toy powers before being subdued and confined.

Hercule's primary Toy grants superhuman strength, enabling her to lift 1 to 100 tons. She wields heavy objects like construction excavators as weapons and effortlessly throws large entities such as a whale. Specific demonstrations include blocking a sword strike from Stone River in the PSP game and shattering a levitated boulder during a confrontation with Sheryl. She is the only Milky Holmes member to briefly reactivate her Toy during a crisis after the initial loss. When using her strength, she displays an apologetic demeanor, such as while swinging a crane.

She admires Mary and Kate, referring to them as "Onee-sama" after being rescued and expresses a wish to reunite. She reacts with visible awe to Cordelia’s physical attributes and may harbor a crush on Nero Yuzurizaki. She shares close living quarters with her teammates, including sleeping in the same bed. Two years later in *Futari wa Milky Holmes*, Hercule and her team become mentors for new characters while maintaining their core dynamics. Her development across media highlights occasional bursts of courage amid persistent shyness, with her fundamental traits remaining consistent.
