Description
Mikleo is a Water seraph originally born human in Camlann village during a Hyland military raid. Separated from his mother Muse in the attack and mortally wounded as an infant, his uncle Michael—a former Shepherd consumed by malevolence—sacrificed him to curse Lord Heldalf, causing Mikleo's death. Muse's prayers and love facilitated his rebirth as a seraph. Zenrus, leader of the Elysia seraphim, transported Mikleo and an orphaned human infant named Sorey to Elysia, raising them together with the hope they might become Shepherd and Sub Lord.
Physically, Mikleo possesses very light blue, nearly silver hair, lavender eyes, and a height of 165 cm. His attire includes a blue shirt and cape with white and gold embellishments, white pants with blue ends, dark shoes, and a golden circlet with a green gem worn beneath his bangs—an heirloom from Muse. As an adult, his hair lengthens, often tied in a ponytail, and his clothing incorporates a black undershirt and brown gloves.
Personality-wise, Mikleo is analytical, reserved, and observant, typically thinking before acting—a contrast to Sorey's impulsiveness. He views Sorey as both closest friend and rival, sharing a passion for ancient ruins and history that sparks lengthy discussions. Generally composed, Mikleo becomes emotionally reactive when Sorey is involved or when teased by Edna, who uses the nickname "Meebo." He works diligently to compensate for his relative lack of experience compared to older seraphim. Protective of those he cares for, he is skilled at preparing cold dishes like ice cream and aspires for human-seraph coexistence. He exhibits a fear of dogs and cannot swim despite being a Water seraph.
In combat, Mikleo wields a staff as a mid-range fighter specializing in Water-elemental artes. His martial artes involve water or ice projectiles and staff strikes, while his seraphic artes encompass healing and offensive techniques like Twin Flow, Freeze Lancer, and Resilient Aid. Notably, he employs an Earth-element staff, theoretically hampering his Water abilities but functioning as training due to the increased difficulty. His mystic artes include Crystal Rod and Rime Slaughter. He achieves fusion with Sorey through Armatization, forming a hybrid entity wielding a water bow.
Across various media, Mikleo's story expands. In *Tales of Asteria*, a fractured dimension leads to war between humans and seraphim. After Sorey is corrupted by malevolence, Mikleo seals him at his request. When Sorey escapes as the Lord of Calamity, Mikleo resolves to kill him as a last resort. In *Tales of Crestoria*, Mikleo assists Sorey in delivering Christmas gifts in Port Sparking, reminding Sorey that most humans cannot see seraphim—though exceptions exist with high-resonance individuals like Leon Magnus or during events like Christmas. Later, he observes Sorey facilitating a reunion between Stahn Aileron and his sister Lilith using seraphic communication techniques. In *Tales of the Rays*, Mikleo is exoflected into Tir Na Nog, participating in events like the "Sweetopia Ruins and Cake of the Gods" and armatizing with Sorey during overray mirrage sequences.
Key developmental moments include his insistence on becoming Sorey's Sub Lord despite Sorey's initial refusal to share the burden, symbolizing their shared commitment to their childhood dream. He advocates for Rose to join Sorey as a human companion, recognizing her resonance and ability to support him in ways Mikleo cannot. After witnessing Dezel's death, Mikleo reaffirms his determination to find a better path as Sorey's partner. Confronting Muse at Camlann, he silently bids her farewell, vowing to realize her dream of coexistence. During Heldalf's trap involving Zenrus, Mikleo stands with Sorey, merging through the Armatus to share the emotional weight of their adoptive grandfather's death.
