Description
Bo Suzuki, known as Boo-chan or Bo-chan, is a five-year-old friend and classmate of Shinnosuke Nohara in the Sunflower class. He moves slowly, maintains a perpetually runny nose, and often appears expressionless. Despite this demeanor, he demonstrates notable intelligence, pursuing interests in artistic and mature subjects like collecting uniquely shaped stones—claiming knowledge of rare stone locations in Japan—and investigating urban legends, UFOs, and mysterious phenomena. His speech is characteristically slow, yet he frequently surprises peers with unexpected insights. He consistently performs tricks with his nasal mucus. During games of house, he always volunteers to play a pet dog or cat. After nursery, he often observes craftsmanship at a Kasukabe tatami-making store.

He is a member of the Kasukabe Defense Organization with Shin-chan and classmates, being the tallest primarily due to the length of his head. Among Shin-chan's friends, he is the most understanding of Shin-chan's behavior, frequently participating in imaginative games like hide-and-seek without a seeker. He maintains strong friendships with Masao Sato, often accompanying and comforting him, as well as with Kazama and Nene Sakurada, offering mutual support. His mother appeared once in the manga; his father has never been depicted.

Official media depicts his future in "Super-Dimension! The Storm Called My Bride" as an adult roboticist and inventor in his mid-twenties. In the upcoming 2025 film "Crayon Shin-chan the Movie: Super Hot! The Spicy Kasukabe Dancers," during a trip to India, inserting a piece of paper from a mystical nose-shaped backpack into his nose stops his runny nose, sharpens his expression, and makes his movements swift and intense. This transforms him into a fearless, cold figure called "Bo-kun" (Tyrant Bo-chan), who rejects Shin-chan's help. The story focuses on restoring his original state by retrieving his runny nose. In "Crayon Shin-chan: Pursuit of the Balls of Darkness," he appears as a minor supporting character without specific plot details related to his role.
