Description
Hime Shirayuki, known in her transformed state as Cure Princess, is a central character within the narrative of Eiga Precure All Stars New Stage 3: Eien no Tomodachi. Her true name is Himelda Window Cure Queen of the Blue Sky, as she is originally the princess of the Blue Sky Kingdom, a realm that fell to the forces of the Phantom Empire. Forced into exile on Earth following this conquest, she attends Pikarigaoka Middle School as a second-year student, where she forges a critical bond with Aino Megumi, her first true friend.
Hime's personality is a complex blend of regal bearing and deep-seated insecurity. Initially, her shyness and timidity made her an ineffective fighter, often causing her to flee from danger, which stemmed from overwhelming guilt. She blames herself for the fall of her kingdom after being tricked into opening the cursed artifact, Axia, which unleashed the Phantom Empire. Despite these fears, she possesses a stubborn and headstrong streak, along with an enthusiastic passion for fashion. She can be somewhat spoiled and selfish at times, but her loyalty and courage grow significantly through her friendships, particularly with Megumi, who provides constant encouragement and support.
Her primary motivation throughout the series and into the All Stars film is redemption. She seeks to atone for unleashing the Phantom Empire by fighting to protect the human world and eventually restore her homeland. The desire to protect her friends and prove her worth as a Pretty Cure drives her actions. This journey is heavily influenced by her relationships. Her bond with Megumi evolves from jealousy and dependence into a foundation of mutual trust and unwavering support. Her dynamic with Hikawa Iona, also known as Cure Fortune, is initially hostile because Iona blames Hime for her own sister's fate and the kingdom's fall. However, Hime’s pivotal act of sacrificing her own PreCards to help Iona rescue her sister transforms their rivalry into a protective, sisterly relationship.
In Eiga Precure All Stars New Stage 3: Eien no Tomodachi, Hime plays a crucial role. When a dream-eating fairy named Maamu begins plunging children and numerous other Pretty Cures into comas, Hime and Megumi remain unaffected. They are sent by the guardian deity Blue to infiltrate the dreamscape and confront Maamu. This scenario acts as a proving ground for Hime's maturation. She is tasked with navigating the nightmares, combating the source of the threat, and working alongside fairies like EnEn and Gureru, as well as collaborating with a wide alliance of other Cures, including Cure Echo and Cure Honey. Her actions during this crisis demonstrate her transition from a frightened novice to a determined and reliable guardian capable of teamwork and leadership.
Her character development is marked by her conquering of guilt and fear. From a sheltered royal who needed rescue, she evolves into a resilient warrior who actively sacrifices for others and acknowledges her royal duties alongside her role as a protector. This growth is reflected in her abilities as Cure Princess. She fights using wind-based techniques and a versatile system of transformation cards called PreCards, which allow her to adopt specialized forms with unique powers. Her primary attack is the Blue Happy Shoot, and she can defend with the Princess Barrier. Her alternate forms include Sherbet Ballet, which grants her ice-based attacks like Arabesque Shower, and Macadamia Hula Dance, which uses floral-themed techniques such as Hawaiian Alohaloe. These forms showcase her adaptability and creativity in combat, symbolizing her journey from a princess in name to a fully realized warrior.
