Description
Tio, Prince of the Flame Kingdom among the planet's seven kingdoms, is Princess Lione's younger brother. His parents, the anthropomorphic lion King Wohl and human Queen Nina, make him and Lione lion-human hybrids. Tio possesses distinctive features: lion-like ears, a tail that twitches with happiness, light blond hair, and reddish-orange eyes. He initially sports a princely white, red, and pink outfit complete with a saber. After becoming Shade's disciple, he adopts attire mirroring Shade's Eclipse look: a pink and white shirt with a yellow tie, blue and white jacket, and red trousers with white shoes.

Kind-hearted, loyal, brave, yet extremely clumsy, Tio pledges unwavering loyalty to Princesses Fine and Rein after they aid his sister. He frequently attempts to assist them during crises, though his efforts often fail due to his ineptitude. Tio fiercely values his family's honor. This drives him to impulsively confront Prince Bright when Bright disrupts the Flame Kingdom's Mera-Mera Samba festival under dark influence, resulting in Tio's hypnosis and subsequent rescue by Shade.

Tio's journey centers on his admiration for Shade and quest for capability. Initially viewing Eclipse (Shade's alter ego) as a villain, he foolishly chases him with his saber. He reverses his view when Eclipse saves him, Fine, Rein, and Altezza from a rampaging horse, recognizing Eclipse as "a great person." This motivates Tio to persistently beg Shade to take him as a disciple, seeking reliability and skill. Shade eventually relents; Tio's first praise from his mentor fills him with joy, prompting him to jump and hug Shade. Under Shade's tutelage, Tio dons a trenchcoat and accompanies him on journeys, though he never fully matches Shade's prowess. Despite constant failures and physical mishaps—often launching him skyward—Tio embodies an "iron butt-monkey" archetype, enduring repeated setbacks with resilient determination.

Renowned in the Flame Kingdom for his sword dancing and proficient with a saber, Tio is also a talented digger capable of excavating the hardest materials. His role evolves in the first series' second half, transitioning from comedic foil to proactive supporter, notably saving the Samba Festival in episode 32. Tio shares deep familial bonds with Lione and his parents, unwavering loyalty to Fine and Rein, and a mentor-disciple relationship with Shade bordering on hero worship. While specifics of his sequel series *Gyu!* activities remain sparse, his core traits of loyalty and perseverance endure.
