Description
Nao Midorikawa, known as Cure March in the original Japanese version and Glitter Spring in the English adaptation Glitter Force, is a fourteen-year-old second-year student at Nanairogaoka Middle School. She is the oldest of seven siblings and often takes on caretaking responsibilities at home, which has shaped her mature and responsible demeanor. At school, she serves as the captain of the girls' soccer team and is known for her athletic ability and energetic nature. Nao possesses a strong sense of justice and does not tolerate wrongdoing, and she is popular among her classmates for her kindness and reliability. Despite her tough and assertive exterior, she has a softer, more feminine side and enjoys cute things. She is also notably afraid of insects and ghosts. Her motivation as a hero stems from her fierce protectiveness over her family. She first transforms into Cure March when she defends her younger siblings from an attack by a monster called an Akanbe, an act of courage that awakens her powers. Her fighting style is closely tied to her athleticism, and as Cure March she wields wind-based abilities, using powerful gusts to overwhelm enemies. She is the fourth member to join the team of five magical girls. Among her teammates, she shares a friendly rivalry with Akane Hino due to their similar spirited personalities and sits beside Reika Aoki in class. She also forms a close bond with Miyuki Hoshizora, who admires Nao's bravery and dedication to her family. Throughout the series, Nao grows more comfortable balancing her tough leadership role with her gentler interests, and her unwavering courage and sense of duty make her a pillar of the group. Her upgraded form, known as Cure March Princess Form, enhances her abilities further.
