Description
Nozomi Yumehara begins as an ordinary second-year student at L'École des Cinq Lumières Institute. Initially uncertain about her future and lacking notable talents, she displays cheerfulness, optimism, and occasional clumsiness. Her impulsive decisions are marked by the catchphrase "It's decided!" ("Kettei!"). She shows deep kindness toward others, including adversaries, and frequently becomes distracted, especially by food. Despite academic challenges, she demonstrates persistent self-improvement.

Her life changes when she meets Coco, a prince from the Palmier Kingdom transformed into a small animal. Agreeing to protect the Dream Collet from the Nightmare organization triggers her transformation into Cure Dream, the Pretty Cure of Hope, introduced by the phrase: "Great Power of Hope, Cure Dream!" She recruits four other girls—Rin, Urara, Komachi, and Karen—to form the core team. As Cure Dream, she adopts a more serious demeanor in battle, using attacks like Dream Attack and later Crystal Shoot with the upgraded Dream Torch. Her leadership emerges through unifying her teammates' diverse personalities.

In *Yes! Pretty Cure 5 GoGo!*, now age 15, she reconnects with Coco via letters delivered by Syrup. Facing the Eternal organization, she regains her transformation abilities with help from Coco and Natts, gaining new attacks like Shooting Star and combined techniques such as Rainbow Rose Explosion. Her romantic feelings for Coco deepen, culminating in a kiss during a movie and eventual marriage in adulthood. This period also highlights her evolving relationship with Milk, who initially rivals her for Coco's affection before becoming an ally.

As an adult, she becomes a teacher at Plaisir Academy, fulfilling a passion for helping others discovered in her youth. She mentors student Rumi Katagiri, exemplifying her dedication to supporting dreams. Her relationship with Coco progresses from mutual crushes to marriage, with Coco eventually becoming her neighbor and proposing after a battle against the Shadows.

She gains multiple power-up forms across movies:
- **Super Cure Dream**: Features butterfly wings and an enhanced outfit via Miracle Lights, enabling a stronger Five Explosion attack.
- **Shining Dream**: An angelic form with neon pink hair, white-feathered attire, and wings, accessed through collective hope.
- **Rainbow Cure Dream**: A variant retaining Shining Dream's appearance but with smaller gold wings.
- **Dream Cure Grace**: Features longer hair with gradient coloring, butterfly-themed accessories, and a butterfly-winged skirt.

In *Precure All Stars DX2: Kibō no Hikari—Rainbow Jewel o Mamore!*, she appears as Shining Dream alongside other Pretty Cure teams to protect the Rainbow Jewel, a gem embodying the world's hopes and dreams. She assists Cure Blossom and Cure Marine against villains, contributing to the unified Rainbow Jewel Solution attack that defeats the antagonist Bottom.

Her relationships include a close childhood bond with Rin Natsuki, who remains a steadfast friend. She mentors Urara Kasugano, helping her overcome loneliness, and supports Komachi and Karen in joining the team. As a teacher, she forms a meaningful connection with Rumi, vowing to guide her aspirations. Her name reflects her character: "Yume" (dream) and "Nozomi" (hope/wish) align with her identity as Cure Dream and her themes of hope.
