Movie
Description
Urara Kasugano is a cheerful and polite first-year student at L'École des Cinq Lumières Middle School, balancing a busy schedule as a young actress. Initially reserved around new people left her with few friends, but Yumehara Nozomi's immediate friendship helped her relax and express herself more openly. While generally calm, she occasionally displays absent-mindedness or clumsiness and shares Nozomi's tendency to rush into situations without full consideration, often leading to comedic complications, as well as Nozomi's love of food.

She is half Japanese through her mother, Kasugano Maria, a famous actress who passed away when Urara was young, deeply influencing Urara's determination to pursue acting to honor her mother's legacy. Her relationship with her director, Takigawa Mariko, was initially strained by Mariko's critical attitude, but Urara later learned Mariko respected her talent and sought to develop her creative independence.

As Cure Lemonade, the Pretty Cure of Effervescence, she wields the power of light. Her transformation involves declaring "Pretty Cure Metamorphose!" using a Pinky Catch in the first season or a CureMo device in *GoGo!*. She introduces herself as "The effervescent scent of bursting lemon, Cure Lemonade!" Her attacks include Lemonade Flash and Lemonade Shining, releasing clusters of yellow butterflies, and Prism Chain, generating butterfly-shaped chains to immobilize or strike foes. Her costume features a distinct hot pink swallowtail butterfly-shaped bow and opera-length gloves. It evolves: Super Cure Lemonade adds wings and altered attire, while Rainbow Cure Lemonade adopts paler colors with feather-like accents.

In *Yes! Pretty Cure 5*, she gained her powers after witnessing Nozomi and Rin battle Nightmare. Encouraged by Nozomi's words to "be herself," she intervened, leading a yellow butterfly to become her Pinky Catch and debut as Cure Lemonade to protect the Dream Collet. Her development includes composing her debut song "Extraordinary! Door of Courage" after Nozomi reassured her singing and acting both fulfilled her dream of sharing joy. She later remained committed to her goals despite failing an acting audition.

In *Yes! Pretty Cure 5 GoGo!*, she resumed duties as Cure Lemonade against the Eternal organization, deepening her bond with the fairy Syrup as they shared dreams and fears. During the movie *Okashi no Kuni no Happy Birthday!*, she and Komachi were captured by Bitter, trapped in an Oven dimension designed to turn them into baked sweets. Temporarily transformed into cookies, they broke free sensing Nozomi's distress and aided in defeating Bitter using Prism Chain alongside Cure Mint.

She has scoleciphiobia and is biracial. In the *Kibou no Chikara: Otona Precure '23* sequel, she appears as an adult with waist-length blonde hair, light vermillion glasses, and a successful acting career, reflecting her lifelong dedication. In the *Pretty Cure All Stars* series, her character is symbolized by the snapdragon flower, representing purity and daring.
