Nataku Son, alternately called Tatsu or Takkun, is an 11-year-old male born on July 9th. He stands 142 cm tall and weighs 36 kg. His baseline appearance includes light-orange wavy hair, light eyes with small black pupils, a light blue V-neck sweater, black shirt, trousers, and shoes. Awakening his Adolla Burst transforms his pupils to white, brightens his irises to vivid orange, and grants him longer, flame-like hair. He then wears a white fire-proof coat featuring an elongated right sleeve that completely obscures his arm and a short left sleeve. Born into a family demanding academic excellence to become a doctor, Nataku faced severe parental disappointment over minor failures like an 87% science test score. This pressure instilled debilitating anxiety and an inability to admit limitations, driving him to push beyond his capacity. He once visualized himself as a robot programmed solely for obedience, reflecting his internalized need to meet external expectations. His life irrevocably changed after encountering Rekka Hoshimiya. Lured by Tamaki Kotatsu while walking with a friend, Nataku was taken to an abandoned warehouse where Rekka forcibly infected him with an Infernal Bug. Unlike most victims, he adapted to the flames instead of fully transforming, awakening Third Generation pyrokinetic abilities. This event caused severe post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), manifesting as hallucinations of Rekka pressuring him to "act high energy" and pursue greater power, exacerbating his existing anxiety and fear of failure. Haijima Industries took custody of Nataku, ostensibly to train his abilities. Designated "Power Development Experiment 8," he endured rigorous, often violent experiments where scientists deliberately exposed him to danger to trigger his Adolla Burst, hiding his presence from outsiders. During a combat test against Yūichirō Kurono, a Rekka hallucination provoked Nataku into unleashing uncontrolled flames, though Kurono defeated him. Researchers dismissed concerns about his treatment, intensifying his trauma within the facility's oppressive environment. Nataku's powers evolved significantly through his Adolla Burst, designating him the Sixth Pillar. Initially, he could only ignite a claw from his right arm. When fully manifested, his abilities included generating floating radioactive fire symbols that fired destructive beams capable of cutting concrete, emitting lethal radiation affecting all nearby except those fire-resistant, and forging Adolla Links through intense emotions like fear or desperation. His lack of control made the power catastrophic; scientists theorized an uncontrolled outburst could annihilate the entire Tokyo Empire. During Shinra Kusakabe’s infiltration of Haijima, Nataku sensed Shinra through their Adolla Link and psychically pleaded for rescue. This connection triggered Nataku’s full awakening: his radiation symbols and beams erupted uncontrollably, endangering everyone. Amidst the chaos, Haumea of the White-Clad amplified his aggression, causing indiscriminate attacks. Kurono extracted him from a Fire Giant construct and, recognizing Nataku’s exhaustion from living under impossible expectations, reassured him he no longer needed to "force himself to be powerful." This acknowledgment allowed Nataku to release his pent-up trauma, dissipating the radiation and calming his powers. Post-arc, he continued training under Kurono with greater emotional stability and control over Rekka’s influence. Following the second Great Cataclysm, Shinra Kusakabe’s manipulation of time restored reality, resulting in Nataku returning to life. Personality-wise, Nataku is inherently kind, straightforward, and brave, as shown when he attempted to stop Rekka’s crimes despite fear. His core conflict stems from a pathological need to fulfill others’ expectations, leading to self-destructive compliance. His deepest desire is to accept his weaknesses and live without pressure, a resolution he begins to achieve after Kurono’s intervention. His hobbies include card games and attending conventions; favorite foods are curry and hamburgers; favorite color is blue; and he fears his parents and the Haijima scientists.
