Assault, aliased as Bloody Fire Blast, Bloody Flame Bullet, The Assassin from the Abyss, and Perfect Soldier, is a male operative of the White Clad. He was formerly part of their elite assassination faction, the Destroyers, gaining notoriety for his ruthless efficiency and solo victories against Demon Infernals. Despite these accomplishments, he departed after failing to impress the Destroyers' founder and subsequently joined the Knights of the Ashen Flame under the Third Pillar. Standing 182 cm tall and weighing 80 kg, Assault possesses dark skin, light spiky hair, and multiple piercings: three in each ear and two replacing his eyebrows. He dons the standard White Hood uniform, white clothing marked with the Sol God's cross symbol. A Third Generation pyrokinetic, his Ignition Ability, Crimson Bullet, generates and launches condensed fire missiles from his limbs. These missiles cause massive damage and explosive force capable of launching targets. His combat prowess is exceptional; he blocks powerful attacks like Arrow's pyrokinetic arrows with a single finger and was deemed capable of annihilating Special Fire Force Company 8 alone. Assault maintains a stoic, professional demeanor, taking pride in his lethal skills and dedication to the White Clad's mission. He expresses mild displeasure at killing women and children, granting them quick deaths to avoid suffering. Paradoxically, he is intensely shy around women, particularly during suggestive or exposed situations. This flaw becomes pronounced in encounters with Tamaki Kotatsu, whose "Lucky Lecher Lure Syndrome" severely disrupts his focus. His first major confrontation occurs in the Netherworld arc, ambushing Tamaki and Iris after they separate from Company 8. Initially dominating the fight and cornering Tamaki with his missiles, her accidental exposure distracts him, allowing Iris to strike him with a metal pole. Tamaki joins the counterattack and defeats him. Humiliated, Assault undergoes rigorous training to overcome his weakness, studying adult material and practicing interactions with women like Saki. Despite multiple rematches against Tamaki, her genuine embarrassment and innocence continue to unsettle him, culminating in his acknowledgment that burgeoning romantic feelings prevent him from defeating her. During the Cataclysm arc, Assault reappears in a new uniform to save Tamaki from his own doppelgänger—a manifestation of his former ruthless self. The doppelgänger condemns him for embracing desire, claiming it tarnished his reputation as Bloody Fire Blast. Assault retorts that desire is essential to humanity and accepts this aspect of himself. Though momentarily distracted by Tamaki's torn clothing, he engages the doppelgänger in combat, indirectly aiding Tamaki in gaining an advantage. Trivia notes include his self-proclaimed identity ("I am I"), preferences for cats, salty foods, and colors like black and yellow. He dislikes "ne’er-do-wells" opposing the empire and people who dominate hotpot meals. His daily routine revolves around rigorous training, aiming to achieve a state of effortless mission accomplishment.
