During a significant fire instigated by the White Clad cult, Sancho and his companions attempt intervention. When the cult's enforcer, Charon, targets Inca for capture, Sancho interposes himself to protect her. This act of defiance leads to his immediate, fatal confrontation with Charon. Sancho dies in this encounter. Following the later global Great Cataclysm, Shinra Kusakabe manipulates time to reverse the catastrophe. This temporal rearrangement alters reality, restoring Sancho to life alongside other casualties from the original timeline.
