Inca Kasugatani is a young woman with short pink hair, pink eyes, and a thin yet voluptuous build. Her pupils shift into a five-pointed star symbol when activating her Ignition Ability. During school, she wore a standard uniform: a dark knee-length skirt, a light long-sleeved shirt, and a dark ribbon. Operating as the "Fire Thief," she concealed her identity with a dark jumper featuring eye-like circles on the hood and a checker-patterned scarf. Within the White-Clad, her attire became a sleeveless puffy white onesie with dark underlayers, white sandals exposing toes and heels, golden circlets on her biceps and neck, and a black-and-gold crown-like headpiece with prominent padded sleeves. Two years prior to the main events, Inca felt purposeless, even wishing for spontaneous combustion. The Great Fire of Tokyo in Year 196 transformed her; witnessing mass destruction filled her with exhilaration instead of despair, igniting a fierce desire for self-preservation while leaving her indifferent to others' lives, viewing them as tools. Her abilities awakened during this fire, letting her detect heat pathways by scent to navigate safely. Afterwards, she exploited this power, rescuing people from blazes in exchange for valuables alongside accomplices Panda and Sancho, earning the "Fire Thief" moniker. Her father died before she could resolve her frustrations with him. Inca's personality centers on extreme selfishness, thrill-seeking, and narcissism. She craves danger to feel alive, despises safety and boredom, and exhibits a near-invincibility complex fueled by her predictive powers. She rejects authority, fiercely values personal freedom, and adheres to a belief in deterministic fate that absolves her of responsibility for harmful actions. This led her to initially refuse protection from both the Fire Force and the White-Clad. However, after Charon killed Sancho during her recruitment, her Third Generation Ignition Ability fully awakened. Seeking greater peril than the Fire Force offered, she joined the White-Clad as their Fifth Pillar. Her new power allowed her to trigger explosions by tracing invisible heat pathways in the air, though its effectiveness relied on random pathway appearances, leaving her defenseless when none were visible. As the Fifth Pillar, Inca possessed the Adolla Burst and Adolla Link, enabling her to sense strong emotions from others connected to Adolla and predict awakenings of fellow Pillars. Her combat skills let her dodge attacks from powerful opponents like Shinra Kusakabe and Charon by tracking thermal energy. Killed during the Cataclysm, she was later revived by Shinra. Post-revival, she lost her Adolla-linked powers and became one of the world's first witches, gaining magic manipulation and the ability to summon a dragon. This transformation mellowed her thrill-seeking; she became more cheerful and flirtatious, openly expressing love for Shinra for enabling her to experience death. She threatened to rampage unless Shinra agreed to bear children with her, seeking to propagate her chaotic legacy. When rejected, she departed to explore her new magical abilities in the reformed world, vowing to continue troubling him.
