Description
Chocola, also called Chokora, derives her name from the English word "chocolate." As the daughter of Count Dracula and the werewolf Carmilla, she is a unique hybrid of vampire and werewolf. This dual heritage defines her specific traits and vulnerabilities. Like her father, she turns to dust in sunlight and must attend night classes, yet unlike him, she suffers no ill effects from water.

A teenage girl with pointed vampire ears and fangs, she attends Matsutachi Junior High School in Tokyo’s Nerima ward and is an active member of the Science Fiction Club. She joined primarily due to her romantic interest in the club president, Nobuhiko Obayashi, the cutest boy in school, who believes in aliens and UFOs but rejects the existence of traditional monsters like vampires or werewolves.

Although she can eat normal human food, she prefers human blood and is willing to bite both men and women, though she has chosen not to prey on her school classmates. Generally brighter and more intelligent than her father, she knows how to restore him if he turns to dust—using a vacuum cleaner and a magic spell involving a cup of blood.

She moved from Transylvania to Tokyo after a mercantile firm unknowingly purchased and relocated Castle Dracula while it was still inhabited. She now lives there in Nerima with her father and their faithful servant, Igor. Her mother, Carmilla, appears only once in the manga; she and Dracula divorced shortly after Chocola’s birth due to Carmilla's wish to raise her as a human killer, which Dracula opposed.

Beyond her primary role in the *Don Dracula* manga and anime, she appears in other official works by Osamu Tezuka. She features in a chapter of the *Black Jack* manga titled "Just Like B.J." under the name Chiyoko, and both she and her father appear in the *Marine Express* film, where she plays Milly, the cyborg daughter of Duke Red.

Her story focuses on her efforts to navigate everyday school life and integrate into Japanese society, all while managing the comedic disruptions caused by her father’s quest for blood and his struggles with enemies like Professor Hellsing and the infatuated Blonda Gray.
