Description
Satoshi Ōsugi, a university student and member of the Eden of the East collective, harbors unrequited affection for fellow member Saki Morimi. His jealousy toward Akira Takizawa—who grows close to Saki—fuels early hostility, leading him to falsely implicate Takizawa in the Careless Monday terrorist strikes and the abduction of 20,000 NEETs. These claims unravel as Takizawa’s true role in safeguarding the victims emerges.
Towering at 1.90 meters with brown hair and piercing grey eyes, Ōsugi often stumbles into absurd mishaps, serving as the group’s inadvertent comic foil. His gullibility and misfortune peak in a drunken altercation with Kuroha Diana Shiratori, who attacks him after mistaking him for a bag thief.
Later, in *Paradise Lost*, Ōsugi pivots from personal grudges to aiding Saki in locating Takizawa’s mother, Aya, amid escalating conspiracies involving Seleção rivals and the AI Juiz. Though his loyalty to Saki remains a driving force, he increasingly collaborates with the group’s objectives.
A co-developer of Eden of the East’s pivotal image-recognition app, Ōsugi’s initial antagonism toward Takizawa gradually gives way to pragmatic alliance. He participates in thwarting missile threats and political schemes orchestrated by other Seleção agents, aligning his actions with the group’s survival despite unresolved romantic tensions.
