Description
Harumi Fujiyoshi is student number 29 in Class 2-He, characterized by black shoulder-length hair and glasses. Her name cleverly merges "fujoshi," denoting a female yaoi enthusiast, with "Harumi," recalling the former Tokyo site of Comic Market before its relocation to Tokyo Big Sight.

As the classroom's dedicated illustrator, she pours her energy into crafting doujinshi, predominantly centered on yaoi themes. Her creations draw inspiration from series such as *Gundam SEED* and *Pretty Cure*. Harumi exhibits a prolific "coupling instinct," constantly envisioning explicit slash pairings between male characters, with Pine/Napple standing as her favorite. Her tastes veer unconventional even within fujoshi circles, prompting her to depict both unpopular, atypical couplings and mainstream ones, sometimes incorporating male-female pairings.

Mentions or mockery of her hobby cause discomfort, making her hesitant to display her doujinshi manuscripts. She grapples with separating conventional societal thought from her personal viewpoints. Despite her artistic focus, she possesses remarkable athletic prowess, attracting recruitment attempts from multiple school sports clubs, all of which she consistently declines, showing zero interest in athletics.

This athleticism stems from the physical endurance cultivated through grueling participation in events like Comic Market. There, she pushes her physical limits navigating dense crowds and enduring long hours to acquire or sell doujinshi, enhancing her stamina, strength, and speed, which in turn facilitates further event attendance.

Harumi has three older brothers working in the anime industry. Her mother states her birth was unplanned. Childhood involved social difficulties, manifesting in hallucinations and paranoia. During this isolating period, Chiri Kitsu became her sole childhood friend, bonding over their shared struggles with social isolation.

Her first canonical appearance occurs in the manga chapter "Losing Neither To Elbow Nor To Knee" (Chapter 5), adapted into the anime's first season Episode 7, "Confessions of a Pseudonym." This episode features a doujinshi-related misunderstanding leading Nozomu Itoshiki to Comic Market. She also potentially appears as a background character in Chapter 2 ("Zetsubou-sensei Returns"). Subsequent appearances across the series' seasons, OVAs (including *Goku Sayonara Zetsubou-sensei*), and other official media maintain her established traits without introducing significant character development or new background details.
